The Coordinate Grid
The tactical map (War Table) uses a 20 × 10 grid: columns A–T and rows 1–10 (row 1 is the bottom). Each large square is divided into a 10 × 10 sub-grid, with sub-coordinates starting at 0 (0:0 is the bottom-left, 9:9 the top-right).
A precise location is written as large square + sub-square, for example F10 8:0.
Scale note: community sources report one large square ≈ 1,000 m and one sub-square ≈ 100 m. The game does not print this, so treat it as a “guide estimate”, not an official value.
The Three Pencils
- Red pencil — measures and automatically records distance + bearing, copying them to the clipboard. This is your final firing-solution tool.
- Yellow pencil — measures but does not save. Use it for planning and experiments.
- White pencil — a plain line with no data.
The Compass
The compass tool draws a radius circle matching a reported distance. Use it for triangulation when a spotter gives you a range.
Markers
- Iron Nest marker — your turret’s position. Place it first, exactly where you actually are.
- Blue numbers 1–4 — spotters/observers.
- Green letters A–C — reference points.
- Red numbers 1–8 — enemy targets.
- Red skull — hit and destroyed. Blue skull — friendly-fire kill.
Three Plotting Methods
- Two-bearing fix — two spotters each report a bearing; draw a line along each. The intersection is the target.
- Bearing + range — one bearing line plus one distance circle; the intersection is the target.
- Two-range fix — two distance circles; the intersection is your estimate. Because spotter error is ±0.5 km / ±0.5°, this fix is an approximation.
Getting the Final Bearing & Range
- Place the Iron Nest marker on your turret’s sub-square.
- Use the red pencil to draw from the Iron Nest sub-square to the target sub-square (start the line at the turret’s ground pin).
- The game auto-computes a Bearing and Range and copies them to your clipboard.
Those two numbers are all you need to fire: bearing sets the turret rotation, range feeds the ballistic calculator.

A single charge’s rough elevation curve (guide estimate, not official):
